How much is a replacement stereo? Broke?

I just recently purchased a 97 GST with the Factory Infinity Premium sound system. The CD worked fine the first week, but after one ejection, it will no longer "suck" a CD in. Almost like the sensor that tells it to suck broke, so it doesn't know to suck.

So, 2 questions...
1. How much is a stock replacement, does anybody have one for sale?
2. Is this maybe common, would it be cheaper to have fixed or take apart myself and have a look-see?

I just saw one on either thepartstrader.com or dsm.org in the for sale section for $50 I believe. I would just look for a used one, they don't seem to be too expensive.

It's on DSM.org trader, it's from a 98 GS-t, not sure if it was Infinity though.
