My 0 to 60 time is 5.8 seconds, at least according to the calculator on "Not a Business Racing". They tell you to punch in your 1/8 mile time and mile an hour and it figures out what your 0 to 60 time is. I ran a 14.3 so that sounds about right on an all wheel drive car.
99GSX....G Tech
These are typical of your average drag race on the street...(not overly abusing the car, not really launching consistently, no drag slicks or VHT)
Stock...3000 miles
6.3-6.5
47000 miles
HKS evc at 17psi, hard IC pipes, apex dunk exhaust, k and n filter, greddy s bov, fuel pump upgrade.
5.4-5.7
Well, since this topic came up again, I'll update my times. After I installed the RRE 2.5" to 3" downpipe and 3" cat, I "test drove" it again with the G-tech. Got times of 5.49 and 5.45 seconds from 0-60 with okay launches and 15-16psi of boost. Not bad.
Measured with HKS turbo timer V type 1
average 3.8 seconds
fastest 3.6 seconds
slowest 4.4 seconds (bad launch)
Almost every run came in the 3.7-3.9 second range.
that's for the 90GSX
got ya all beat........1.2 secs and that's with the flux capcitor (yeah I know Christopher Lloyd) set at 3.6 tetrahtz. With the Mr.Fusion kit I've gotten it to .8 secs and got to have luch with Julius Ceasar
4.74 measured on a G-tech. I had a bit of spin & some wheel hop. I could probably push it a bit faster but need to take care of the wheel hop first.
What do you guys think I should be able to do with these mods?
John Hopkins
