First off I have a 1G(94 Talon). I have 2 12" MA Audio subs. I'm running a 1200 watt Power Acoustic amp to them. I have a custom setup that I did myself. I took the spare tire out and built a small shelflike structure just to hold the amp. Then, I have plexiglass over it, and a custom box that fits perfectly to the back seats. Of course, its all carpeted. Took about 8 hours to do start to finish, but well worth it. As far as everything else. I have a Pioneer 7200 CD player. Planet Audio 6 1/2's in the rear. Factory's in the front dash(only cause you need the special 3T speakers and they suck). Planet Audio 5 1/4's in the front doors. 2 Kicker tweeters on the front windshield, and 2 on the back port windows. I have the nicest, neatest, and loudest system around. 148 dB. Not bad for only 2 12's.

Myself I have an Infinity Perfect12 sub, Rcokford 360a2 amp, Infinity Reference 5.25 seperates up front, a pioneer 6000 CD player, and some crappy radio shack components in the back( I couldn't fit any decent 6by9's due to depth so I made a custom panel on each side with tweeters, 5.25 woofers and crossovers).
In the trunk I mounted a gold plated distribution block and 2 fuse holders on the plastic side panel, with black grommets and red opaque cable and it looks really cool.
I had plans for a custom box and amp mount but I got lazy and ran out of money so I just built a normal sealed box for my sub and threw the amp on the floor. Someday I'll build something cool. Oh yeah for the rear hatch cover I cut out a big section and replaced it with acoustically transparent fabric so my bass would pound on through.
For one 12, its really loud. I really need a 4 channel amp for my interiors though.

If you go to my web page there is an entire section outlining the stereo installation. There is also another section for other systems that I've done. Mine is not set up for loudness but rather sound quality, besides I had to make some compromises in the size of the sub enclosure inorder to keep the spare tire and some lugage room. It also uses equipment that is about seven years old! :) It was good quality stuff in it's day and goes to show that if you do buy "good" stuff, it will last well and continue to perform well.

I had a nice system (two 10's, JVC 12 dsc changer, 300watt amp, JBL 6x9) untill it was stolen out of my car. Apparently it is pretty easy just to stick a screwdriver under the handle of my 91 eclipse and just pry the door handle up and push on the door latch. Oh, and the security system was instantly disabled, from what the neighbors heard. Well, I put a changer back in my car but I bolted it down from underneath in the center console. A lot of work but ain't no way it's coming out this time.

I went for sound quality ended up with an excelent system simple but almost perfect,I am runnin mostly Alpine, the Alpine Deck was runnin two Alpine tweeters in the dash as well as the Alpine 3's alpine 5 1/4s in the doors and Alpine 6X9s in the back with 1/2" adjuser plate so they dont touch the fender well all front speakers are no longer amplifeid. I am runnin a Prestige PA-2100 amp that is pushin' 2 10" 400watt Menace subs in a custom built ported box by progessive audio.I ran all new 10 gauge wire and 4 gauge for my power .Not overly loud but it puts some way more expensive systems to shame.and it only cost a fraction of the cost of most other systems

For me, I am mostly SPL. The last system i had consisted of An Alpine CD, rotary knob, CDA-7940, Alpine 3339 eq/crossover (older unit but a goodie) eq is on a cord that runs to the main box under the dash, Polk 5 1/4 dB's in the front doors, Polk mm3000 tweets in the dash, Infinity 6 1/2's in the back. In the hatch I had 6 10" JL 10W6's in a sealed box @1 cu/ft ea. running off of a mirror polished green US Amps USA-400, with a matching USA-150 for the highs. All 2 guage wire, Streetwires distribution, and Autosound 2000 cap. I sold most of that to buy the 91 TSi, it was in a 90 Eclipse T. I currently have a Pioneer Premier tape p-88 I think is the model number, 6 disc to come, Still have the same highs and wires and EQ. For subs I have 2 15" Power Strokes by Hurricane www.hurricanesoundlabs.com (http://www.hurricanesoundlabs.com) they handle massive power, should give them a look. The person who had these subs before I got them and had them re-coned was running 8 crossfire 1000D's, with 4 bridging modules on these subs and was hitting low 160's with full interior mods. For amps I am probably going to use 2-4 Crossfire 1000D's, depending on budget. These are just my most current systems, I've had a lot of the older stuff pre-1998, so if anyone needs advice on an older model equip, just post here, I've probably had it before :)

BTW, I paid $600 for the 6 10W6's in a full 1" plexi top, interior full mirror and neon box with a Zapco Z600c2 from a police auction, you can find really good buys there, The subs retail over 200 each and the amp was over $1000 too, the box was for a 4 runner though :(
