: vaccum leak causing bad idle

okay, I put a 14b on my 91 talon tsi (auto) today, when I came back from my test run, it wouldn't idle at all. There is a huge vaccum leak somewhere between the block and intake manifold...but I can't pinpoint it. Is there any certain line I should check. I can't see anything visibly wrong, but it sounds like an open port on the me...there is also a lag and stuttering when I try to accelerate...

There are multiple vacuum lines on the mani to check, all of which are pretty obvious just by looking around. Check the lines on the tb for cracks as well. Hopefully the leak isn't from the intake mani. gasket as that is a pita to change.

Well, I got it figured out. It is not a vaccum leak like I believed it to be, it is a bad injector grommet. I guess it cracked and broke due to age. Problem solved thanks for the suggestions
