I know there are ''many other threads'' concerning the matter but i actually have 3 grand ready to repair/ replace my 2g 420a engine. Is it worth goin turbo? Will a 1g turbo engine fit? How can i complete the swap? (ecu, motor mounts...etc) i want sum opinions if possible. thanks

mounts are different I think... dont qoute me on this... personally on this aspect its cheaper to buy a new car and sell the old in most cases.... unless you got good contacts and do all the work yourself ;)

1g turbo motor, 6-bolt is optimal, yes the mounts are different. The 2g turbo motor is the same thing, different pistons and a smaller turbo, also 7-bolt crank, i suggest the 1ga (90-92) turbo motor. Thats my personal opinion :)

Just turbo your 420A engine. You will spend a fortune trying to swap in a 1G or a 2G 4G63 turbo engine in there since you'll have to swap a TON of things to make it work correctly. The tranny is different, the motor mounts, electrical wiring, fuse boxes, ECU, etc, etc...
So my advice to you is: drop in a hahn turbo kit and let the 420A come to life without losing an arm or a leg on the process.

Personally, I'd worry about putting a 2g turbo engine in and having it crankwalk. I know it's only like a 10% chance, if that.... but still. I'd turbo the 420a. They're pretty good motors.

The 420a is a very capable engine. Unless you have a lot of resources (i.e. a turbo 2G front clip laying around) then I would turbo the 420. Personally I would do it myself, but I've heard good things about the Hahn kit, and not everyone has the same resources that I do.

Definitely boost the 420a. You might have enough extra cash for some nice forged pistons and fuel upgrades so you can up the boost :D

If I was you, I'd rebuild with that 3 grand first, then save for a turbo. I have the Stage I Star Kit and I'm very pleased with it.
