I'm a fairly new Spyder (97, GST) owner. The tan top has some slightly dirty areas. Looks to be just normal due to being up & down a lot. I was wondering what might be the best way to clean it up and keep it clean. I only find one "convertible top cleaner" on the shelves at local car parts stores. I forget the product name...white/blue bottle. Anyway, does anyone have any tips? I use Maguiar's products for everything else. Would their gel car wash be as good as anything to use?
Thanks,
Dan

I have never had a convertable car but I have heard that you are not supposed to use soap of anykind on a convertable top. I would think that they must have something specifically for that which wouldn't cause it any harm.

I haven't cleaned my top yet (I probably should soon...mine is black however, and you don't see the dirt as easily). There is a product called "porche convertible cleaner" or something like that, it's supposed to be one of the better canvas top cleaners.....goto www.carcareonline.com (http://www.carcareonline.com) for more info. They also have an article of how to properly clean your top.

Cheers,
