used turbo prices

anyone know why used turbos cost so much? if i can buy a new 16g for~750 why are used ones going for 550-700? i'm assuming people dont fear buying used stuff on the internet. i'm starting to think i'll never be able to afford even a used 16g much less a new one. am i the only one?

Anyone trying to sell a used 16g for $550 plus is crazy. I can understand a mint condition turbo, fully ported and such going for that kind of price. But I doubt you can call any used turbo "mint".

But i suppose if some one is willing to pay for it, why not?
