ok, i have some electrical issues, i was wondering since i have a 4 gauge running off my battery, is it always taking juice away? even if my stereo is off? would it lose charge if i dissconnected it from the amp? or should i just take it off the battery?
or does it not matter at all as long as the HU is off?

that's what a remote wire is for... so your amp isn't on 24/7. ;)

You are thinking to hard because this is probably new to you. Think of other components that run off your battery, like your headlights, or your entire electrical system before your amp. That all ran off the battery and the battery didn't drain when the car was off. Make sense? That's why they have relays and remote turn on wires. The power wire only provides the power when it's told to.

? i dont get what you're saying, well my battery is like almost dead and my alternator is out. and i ordered one, came in today, took mine out, and went to install the other one. AND IT DIDNT FREAKIN FIT! it was the 420A one!!!! NOOOOOO. so now my car is jacked up outside and waiting for tomorrow morning for me to get the other oen (special rush order) hopefully damnit it will be ok
i have a question. the places can only get 75AMP, their vendors dont have the 90AMP. :realmad: but NAPA did, but it was like 190 bucks. and i dont have that with me. will i be ok? i dont run like 10000000 watt amps, stock fog lights. nothing else?

He meant dont run the car w/o the altenator....
As far as outputs on altenators 70-75amps is stock... that would be why dealers dont have them.... and 75 amps is good for.... a decent system

Focus on what pb4ugotobed said. That is the key!
Otherwise, your statement holds true. There is such a thing as an always on 12V constant, car alarms use it, turbo timers, etc etc.
Good luck!
