hey guys...I was just wondering what mods I can put to my 99 GS (non-turbo) to give it a bit more "go". The only mod I currently have installed is a HKS W1 Sport Catback, which added a noticable amount of top-end, but wasn't helpful with bottom-end (I think I lost some power there, haven't dyno'd though) I'm looking into cold-air intake systems, anything else I can do? If you're interested, I ran a 16.82 before the catback and a 16.21 after the catback, I want to be into the 15s maybe even 14s.

Thanks,

I just found a site with what seems to be great info, it's: http://www.2gnt.com Here's what they list as stages:

Stage 0:
Tune up
NGK BKR5E-11 Spark Plugs
Adjust Throttle Plate

Stage 1:
Air Intake
Catback Exhaust
Spark Plug Wires

Stage 2:
Bored Throttle Body
Ported Intake Manifold
Headers

Stage 3:
Camshafts
Adjustable Cam Gears
Underdrive Pulley

Stage 4:
Ported and milled head
Air Flow Convertor
Ignition Timing Controller
Low-restriction Cat

And presto-chango, I'm up to par with the stock GS-T ;)(with no turbo lag I might add)

I'd like to hear your opinions on this path? any other suggestions?

Thanks again-

It is the best site for non-turbo info......another suggestion though. For the money you would have spent going through all those stages to run low fifteens, HRC makes a turbo kit that will put you at mid to high 14's with their stage 1 kit. If you would like more information on that kit, go to http://www.turbosystem.com . L8RZ
