Hey guys (and gals)

Yet another question from me. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here goes.

In another thread I had asked about 2g n/t mods for more power, I had went to 2gnt.com and found a series of stages that would put me into the low 15s for about $3000. (blah) Then someone suggested to me the HRC stage 1 turbo kit (5-7 psi), which would theoretically put me in the mid 14s for $2195 plus install. Then if I decided I could move to the stage 2 kit (8-10 psi) for another $800 or so and be in the 13s.

Needless to say, I am a little sceptical. Obviously, HRC isn't going to put the drawbacks on their site, so I'm asking you. What are the drawbacks of this application? Are any of you using this kit? What are your experiences?

To me this sounds like the way to go, but thats assuming my engine isn't going to explode within the first 1000 miles. From what HRC says, the kit comes with everything needed. You can check it out here: http://www.turbosystem.com/Hahn_Automotive/Eclipse_Talon/eclipse_talon.html

Thanks for your input!

Man, this thread could go in parts talk or the NEW non-turbo forum or in gen tech. But I moved it here...

To answer your question, HRC are THE experts at doing staged upgrades to turn a N/T dsm into a turbo DSM. So, rather than tell you to sell the car and just buy a turbo dsm (which is an option :) ) From what I've looked at on their site as to the specific upgrades, steps taken at each level and correlating boost levels at each stage. They've got it down.
