I was thinking of turbo charging my spyder but I wanted to know how much power would be safe with stock internals and an auto trans? Also what components I could accomplish this with?
Thanks Mike

You'll be fine with up to 350hp with that auto tranny. Some of the guys on the AT List have alot more than that. AND there are aftermarket clutch packs and valve body mods you can do!
If you did the conversion on your Spider, you'd decrease you spoolup time on your turbo (14B) to just off idle. And you'd experience almost NO lag!
Look into it...I have a friend who does them.

Most of the guys on the AT list have a turbo tranny, not the NT tranny that came in the Spyder. I'd be careful what you recommend.

I thought the Spyder had the same tranny as the turbo, no? I've heard that quite a bit. What would you suggest is a safe amount of power on the NT Spyder tranny?

The bolt patterns are the same. You can bolt a turbo tranny to a 4G64 engine. However, the 4G64 NT tranny is a F4A23, while the 4G63T tranny is a F4A33.
