I was just wondering how many of you guys went with the stealth look, as in removing all badges and so on. I was thinking about doing this to my 1G eclipse but want a little feed back first.
Thanks

Removing factory stickers was one of the first things I did to my Tsi. Then when I painted it, I also removed factory badges at front and rear. Check out my pics at the lounge. My thought was that a fellow dsm'r would know, and anybody else would wonder and test me. I've actually heard people walking by my car and say "what kind of car is that, its really nice." Girls always look twice, hehe. I did get a windshield banner from chris a stickerhere.com. But even it is a custom font and I had him make it in black to preserve the stealth look. I haven't put it on yet. But you won't even see it with the limo black 6" wide tint I've got on the front windshield. To me stealth is good, clean and classy looking.

I must say that your car is very smooth and nice looking. At first I couldn't realize why your car looked better than any other white early 1G i had seen. Then I realized that you painted The roof and pillars and so on white to match the rest of the car. It looks so much better. I also like your fog lights. All in All, your car has taste.

I went for the clean look. I bought my 97 GST with a mistubishi sticker, GST sticker, that ugly chrome Eclipse sticker on the taillight, and a D*** dealer ad sticker. I took them all off....looks nice...plus less weight!?!

Looks pretty funny.
It'll be done eventually.

Use a heat gun to remove it.

Turbo=good,
how hard is it to remove the chrome lettering on the tail lights??

how did you do it and could you tell it was there after you did it?
are they just glued? if so how did you remove the residue?
thanks

I went with the stealth look , kinda, too. I've got a 93 Talon TSi AWD, and I removed the "Eagle" Sticker on the back of the car as well as the "16V DOHC Turbo All Wheel Drive" paragraph Eagle puts on the sides. So now, the only stickers on the car are the "TSi" on the back right and the Eclipse "AWD" stickers on the B-pillars. I've always loved those EClipse AWD stickers, and after owning a 92 GSX I had to get em for the Talon! They' sure weren't cheap though ... ~ $30 for the 2 stickers!!

95GSTurbo, The chrome ECLIPSE is just a nice looking sticker. I used a PLASTIC razor blade but your finger nail works fine to peel it off. I used GOO GONE to remove the left over residue. In the right light I can still see where the sticker was...not a big deal though.
