Will the Greddy Type-S or the HKS Twin Chamber or the Apexi BOV bolt to the stock IC piping or do I need some kind of flange. Thanks everyone.

I omn a 2nd gen talon but I might be of some assistance. The Apex valve is called the twin chamber and as far as your question goes for that one, I have no idea. If, by the HKS valve you mean the Super Sequential BOV, it will not bolt to your pipe. It mounts up in a different type of flange, using a snap ring. If you have no experience with snap rings, let me tell you that they are a MAJOR pain in the ass. I had to get someone to help me out. They used to people, a screw driver and a vice! Hope I was some help.

By far the best you can go with out of all of those would be the greddy type-s. For the amount of cash you'll pay to intsall the HKS or Apex-i to weld a flange, you could buy some upper IC piping-better flow=more power and more boost! Plus the DSM's are made to run with a closed loop BOV. Venting to the atmosphere may sound really loud, but the lost air causes you to run rich after shift, resulting in LOST power :( !!! The 1g stock BOV is about 60 bucks and will be good to 18psi. It'll get ya to run 12's (low). good luck with your decision. There are a lot of BOV threads in this forum so check them out too!

I have a 2nd gen as well.Alot of people use the 1st gen BOV,but they get it crushed.I've seen a crushed 1st BOV hold 20 psi.As for as one of the aftermarkets fitting your stock flange. The greddy will be your best bet.The mounting holes are closer together on the Greddy. The Apexi is a piece of sh*%.I know someone that has it.She's had problems with it from the first day.It leaks bad and she's even modified it and it still leaks.

Where can you find the 1g BOV's? Are they hard to install?
