Does the universal GReddy type-s come with a flange for the 90-94 DSM already? I own a 2g and am buying HRC UIC pipes. The pipe comes with the flange like the 1g. So I guess what I'm asking... What EXACTLY would you tell someone when ordering so I get the right one.

ps I would go through HRC RRE or whatever dsm site, but I can get a better deal elsewhere ($150 new)!!!

the pipes that fit the 1 G bov will fit the
greddy type s. Just tell them i have pipe fit for a 1 G
BOV.. The
1g BOV in my opinion is good enough for low
12's. I have it on mine, sold the greddy. Save your money and get a 1 g bov it is
easier to deal with. Not that the greddy isn't
good, it is, but the 1 G works just as well.

If you plan on going 11's like many here try
then i guess the greddy will do.

the UIC pipe , i know from HRC and RR/E, comes with a flange for the 1g of the 2g or no flange at all (if you wanted something different than the greddy or 1g BOV).

How do you go about "crushing" the 1g BOV? What does the 1g sound like... compared to the 2g or the greddy?

i wouldnt worry about crushing the 1G bov.
I mean some poeple do it, but it is not really
necessary. Some dont even do it right and end damagin
the bov. the 1 G bov is great one in my opinion
for its price and its perfrmance. Stay with it
until you are really in need of a higher performance
bov.

The Greddy Universal and Greddy Eclipse Kit uses the same Type S BOV.The difference is the universal does't come with a flange and the kit does.To use with the stock upper ic pipe.

As for crushing the 1st.It's done buy putting it in a vise and sqeezing it a little not much.By doing that it makes the stock spring a little stiffer. You can buy them already crushed for around $40 or so.

Most people crush them only when they start running higher pressure levels. Unless you are gonna be running more than 18-19 psi. I would not worry about crushing it. Used is nice, but if you have the money purchase a new 1g BOV. Some used ones are somewhat fatigued do to years of use. Thats why some people end up crushing them also. Just a thought.

I have the HRC upper i/c pipes. It comes flanged for a Greddy type S or their "modified 1st gen" BOV. I used the type S and am happy with it.
