I have finnished my interior, all blue carbon fiber, blue under dash and sub box neon with light controler,I was thinkin of gettin blue gauges for the dash but I already have blue carbon fiber around the gauges and figured it might look dumb,so I went to a wreckin yard got new gauge faces and sanded the back side down until the yellow paint was gone, when i held it up to the light the numbers now look white not orange,i then got some plasti coat transparent blue paint and painted the back side of the gauges,(instead of changin' to colored bulbs wich are not as bright as white),now my gauge are still black on the front but the numbers are a sweet blue, you could do this any colour you want I guess

I guy I know did something similar but instead of painting the back of the guages he covered the backs with blue celophane (sp.) It actually turned out pretty nice.

You could also buy some replacement gauges from this guy http://www.blackcatcustom.com and get any colour face you want with any colour lettering. I have white with blue lettering that turns almost green at night time.

Wow that's cool...I've always wanted to change my orange display to blue but I wasn't sure how I'd go about doing this...upload those pictures as soon as you can...and do you mind giving detailed directions on how to do this?? Thanks a lot

You can also go to ImportIntelligence.com and buy White/Color face gauges for a very cheap price.

can you be more specific on the paint? I am thinking of doing this, but not in the gauge cluster. I want to change the A/C controls to blue. Perhaps changing to blue bulbs would be easier, but I cannot find anyone that sells colored dash lights.

Hey ZBeest... did you prime your timing belt cover with something before you painted it? Any recommendations?

I just wet sanded it and then sprayed with an automotive primer followed with automotive spray "touch up" paint. p.s I wet sanded again after priming it.
