I am looking into getting some ADR GT-Sport 17x7 wheels with Yokohama Parada tires. This is my question when buying coil overs do I need to buy shocks or will the stock shocks work ok? I really need to get rid of the wheel well gap but I don't wanta drop another $324 bucks on shocks and struts if I really don't need too. Whats the consensus on this?

I would recommend after market anyway, but with coil overs you should be able to use stockers. Go for Eibach Ground Control's they are the easiest and best in my opinion. also they claim they are designed for use on stock and aftermarket shocks/struts.

If your going to get coil overs go with the Ground Controls.
I also would get after market struts like KYB AGX or Koni.
Do it right the first time so you don't have to take your suspention apart 2 or 3 times. Good Luck

Yeah I think I've decided. I going to go with Ground-Control coilovers and KYB AGX....maybe GR2's not sure on that yet. But the ground-control coilovers are my choice now.

Well sh!t. I was just on carreview.com checking out the KYB AGX's and it says that they don't work well if the car is dropped more than 1.5". I was planning on doing a 2" drop due to the 16" wheels I have now. So what do you guys think....GR2's. What is the best shock for a 1.5"-2" drop?

GR2's aren't much better than stock. I have have them trust me. Thats why I'm getting rid of them.

Koni adjustables shortened 1in. With GC camber plates. I'm
tired of my suspention bottoming out. Know what I mean??

Yeah I hear that. Think I'll give the KYB AGX's a shot and see how they do. Shox's quoted a set of four for $359. I hope they work with a 2" drop. If they don't I'll just keep the coilovers at 1.5", and hopefully get some 17's or 18's this summer.

That's not a bad price. With the AGX's hopefully you will be able to adjust them so they don't bottom out.
Good Luck!
