First off, the car is a 93 Eclipse 1.8 N/T 5-speed. The car has 72k miles. When pulling up to a stop light, and putting the car in neutral everything is fine. The problem happens when I try and shift into first. I put the clutch all the way in. If I shift directly into first gear, the car grinds. If I shift into 2nd gear then 1st, the grind does not happen. Some times the car is also pretty hard to get into 2nd gear. The car is on the original clutch. Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?
The car also has a leak after heavy rain/snow. The water pools about a quarter inch puddle in the spare tire compartment. Any problem spots the rear hatch that are normal?
The car also has a horrible heater. Once the car gets on the freeway, the tempurature dives. It shows good air induction and all, but I need heat in 30 degree weather! Anyone have any ideas?
Other than this the car is amazing. It drives superb. Im pretty happy I bought it.
