I got the faces today, the instructions looks very easy to follow. I have to make time to install them as soon as our weather here in MN warms up. They do make faces for the 1g NON- turbo cars. I ordered the white face, if the install goes well, I will buy another set for my daily driver. I think the prices are great!

I've been looking for white gauge faces for a while. This looks like a great solution. Installation shouldn't be hard. I say about one hour if you haven't done it before. I can't wait to see how it works.

Yeah, wonder how the metal flake would be at night if you'd even see that gauges...

Also, I LIKE those blue needles! Is that hard to do??

Yes they are vynal cutouts that you put on top as far as I know I just got them.

The needles are stock needles just sanded then u use a sharpie (recommended) marker to paint them whatever color you would like. I guess the sharpie works the best thats what the guy recommends (it must let the light through good).

I wanted to personally thank the people on the DSM boards and all across the USA who have ordered from us. We are proud to make gauges for not only the newer DSM's but the 1g's also. We know that working with big companies with "big numbers" can have it's advantages and dis-advantages but we are here to help the individual. Let's be honest, for some of the prices that are advertised for other gauge manufacturer's you can almost buy a front end kit that will make much more of an impact. We know gauges are an interrior part and we beleive that they should be inexpensive.

Just to clear up a couple things, yes the Plymoth Lasers gauges will work and we will process it as a laser and send correct gauges. One of the reasons that few make gauges for the 1g's is because there were 4 different sets of gauges made in 4 years. We will be adding that listing soon.

Blue needles on the site and every other pic of the other clusters are done with blue sharpie marker. Scrape or sand the back of the needles to remove the factory paint and and apply blue or any other color to the back of the needle where the paint used to be. Marker works great becasue it is translucent.

After an overwhelming request (you guys are one powerful group) for 95-99 Eclipse/Talon Turbo gauges are in stock and ready to ship.

6 weeks is the estimated lead time for the IntelliGlow Needle kits.

Again thanks for all the support this group has given us and keep up the good work, c-ya on the dragstrip,

Wow.A Nissan driver on DSMtalk. That's awesome.
I think other forums should take an example from DSMtalk.

Hi Matt.Judging from your sig you drive an SR20DET powered 240sx.How do you like it?
My brother has a totally rebuilt KA24DET powered 240 and I must say that displacement has a lot to do with power as well. He's running a custom FASTRAX turbo w/ JEs and Crowers.
BCE did the head.

Well anyway thanks for stopping by.

YEs I do drive an SR20DET 240sx, it's great, RWD, lots of power and totally a tuner car. I have a Trust 3" downpipe, CAI and boost set at 12psi. I plan on getting the boost up to 15psi after a new boost controller. I hollowed the cat and now she shoots fire out the exaust, needs a little tuning and I should be in the low 13's high 12's with little effort. Anyways I thought that the war was between the Honda Owners and everyone else?!? :) The company just likes to keep a good reputation and also we owe you guys a sincere thank you. BTW> The Galant VR-4 Gauges will be coming out soon.

I have some Qs about your HVAC replacement face.
I was looking at the white one and that would compliment the rest of my gauges very nicely. How hard is it to replace those?I remember trying to see if I can get the bulbs to light up green and couldn't take the damn thing off.
Also can you guys do it so it lights up green at night w/ out having to change the bulbs?I have Greddy gauges and PPG gauge faces and the HVAC is the only odd one that lights up white.

Thanks in advance,
Mario

For the lights in the HVAC overlay you will have to change the bulbs in the control unit. You might try the green sharpie on the back of it also.

hey there, i noticed taht in the picture of the gauges lit up that the temp and fuel gauge needles werent visible...is that because you painted them a diff color (blue) or is it just a camera thing? just curious cause i was thinkin about ordering the silver metal flake gauges and painting my needles blue but if they end up lookin like that at night where i cant see them, i'll just leave the needles orange and get the silver faces. thanks!!

the darker needles are the blue ones, the camera has a hard time picking up the color and light off of those but the blue needles are a bit dimmer at night.

How hard will it be to install these? And how do they glow?

I will be purchasing The Blue Intelliglow needle kit once they come out for 92-94 Eclipse NON TURBO.

not to take businees away from that fellow doing these kits. But i changed every light in my dash to a blood red with nail polish, its very easy, you just need to let it dry for a day so it evaporates the alcohol completly

For changing color of the HVAC controls. I just took out the bulbs and wraped a purple transparancy around them.

have you had problems with those colored front lights? I wanted to change up my signla lights in the front for shows, so blue in the front red in back? Have you ever been fined. I am told that i will get a 175 dollar fine for changing my turn signal lights? Anyone had problems?

That's why, when I see a cop. I press the pop-up button and it's all good.

"My headlights are purple, officer? What'r you talken about?"

Visually, the lights suck. Can't see crap at night. Only drive in town with them on.

Are the illuminated needles LEDs or EL ?

Thanks,

The needles are designed in a way that the light from behind the cluster travels throught them creating the illusion that they have their own source of light. To get them to light up a different color, just scrape the orange off the back of them and color the back of them any color you want. Did mine in gold so they light up kind of wierd.
