All right guys I don't know if it is confirmed yet but if anyone knows chime in to confirm this please feel free to do so. But this past weekend Brett Rau ran a 9.18 at Atco. I heard this off the SoCal List.

Damn I'll be watching the Fastest (http://www.times.dsm.org) list for the next update. Mitch did you here if that run was on or off the bottle? Probably on.

They didn't say if it was or wasn't just that he ran 9.18 and someone in th etech section aslo seemed to confirm it. Also supposedly he did it with a bad head gasket.

Any Idea what Buschar is going to do next?
How about Glazer? Is the Mirage project still on?

still on?
he's running nine with it noiw, and still working out major bugs, mostly getting the car to hook up. He's running 152+ pretty consistintly now.
As for Buschur i hear he's building a tube frame RWD 2G. Should be insane.

I don't know who you heard that from but it's not true. I was with david last night talking about his car. It's going to be RWD.

Buschur's tube-frame is going to retain the AWD driveline. As far as Extreme, they are still running the Mirage, but rumor has it that Sean's AWD will be back at the track in the near future testing out some new custom driveline parts. I'm anxious to see what happens next season.

I think the setup he was running before is ideal for drag racing. powerglide tranny to a chevy 12bolt rearend.

Almost looks like Buschar is going to keep driving someone elses Buick.

If he ever does complete his own tube frame RWD car, he needs to put a freaking 2.3 liter stroker in it! If any system can withstand the torque of a stroker, a power glide is it.

Later,

Keith

I beleive that the structural design of our AWD drivetrain is just plain weak within itself. I think that for racing something a little stronger is in order. This is why Im pulling for Brett to prove me wrong with an 8 second pass.

What I'm wondering is what Brent Rau did to solve the drivetrain problems that Sean Glazar was having. I'm assuming that Rau would run into *at least* as many problems as Glazar did, considering he's running faster. I know they were working on some alternative-material driveshafts and whatnot, but haven't heard anything since the Extreme Talon was in Turbo Mag. Anyone know??
