Hi people

Does anybody have an idea of what the best ET/mph one can expect to get from 18-19 psi on 94 octane pump gas in a full weight (3300lb) street DSM? I'd imagine mid 12s at least but it sould be lower. This would set a great benchmark for an everyday street car.

Thanx in advance.

I ran a 12.7 at 110 last night in my 2g on 93 oct.
My best time to date was a 12.49 at 111 with a 93-104 mix.....

I ran a 12.21 @ 112 on 93 octane pump gas. I'm in the process of doing some changes to my setup and am hoping for about 114-115mph on pump gas when it's all said and done. I'm also shooting for 118-120mph on race gas and 25psi :D

Take it easy,

LaserAWD, that is a great time on pump gas. What boost were you running to get that time and have you lightened the car at all?

115mph seems like a far stretch for pump gas. You really must have a beast of a car for that time.

Running 20psi on the pump gas run @ 112mph. The 115.99 was on race gas and 23psi. No lightening of the car has been done at all. It weighs in at 3270 last time I had it at the scales, that was without me in it.

With my new setup I will be getting I know a guy that ran 116.7 mph on 20psi. Granted it was race gas but at 20psi with everything tuned right you shouldn't get any timing retard until maybe middle of 4th gear. So I'm hoping that 114-115 on 93 octane will be acheivable.

For a list of mods check out the link in my signature. All the ones listed are pretty close to what I had when I ran my 11 second pass. I put a section at the top saying what I'm getting and what it is replacing. Thanks for the compliments.

Take it easy,

Hey Nino

I wouldn't worry about your times. Your car is quick enough and your setup is for track racing, not drag racing. Its hard to have the best of both worlds. Now, if I can only have the best of one I'd be happy.

Keep trying Giovani, better than my times to date.

For better times on pump gas, try adding alcohol injection to the mix. The Buick GN guys swear by it.

It basically lowers the intake temps and allows you to run higher boost on pump gas by helping to eliminate detonation (because of the lower intake temps). Steve Chulpsa makes the kit that they all reccomend.
