Ok, well my friend has a 91 Sentra SE-R which is pretty quick. Not sure what it runs, but stock its pretty quick. Anyway, he is coming back from school in about a week or so and we are gonna race. He has a few things done like suspension (dropped about 1 1/2 inches), header, cold air intake w/ K&N, aftermarket generic muffler with 2 3 inch outlets (yeah i know this isnt really anytihng, but thought I would mention it), and thats about it. So my question is, who will win this race? My 91 TSi AWD is basically bone stock except for the ACT clutch. So, im thinking were prolly gonna be just about even. Any opinions? Thanks!

I'd tell your buddy there that it wouldn't even be a race. You'd kill that POS. It goes 0-60 in 8.1 I think. Heres the info it. Its not worth the speeding ticket. But if you could get some $ out of it go for it. http://www.voicenet.com/~daveb/history/perform.html

Unless your car is in poor shape, running like crap, or you badly miss a shift (or two), there is no way an SE-R can beat you.

Well i think he'll give you a good race. i myself own a 91GsX. and its funny cause i have a friend that did own at the time a 91 SeR. anywayz when my car was bone stock his car pretty much had the same set up as your friend. so we go out and race each other just to have him pull on me by a car length. that was off a roll off. off the line i had him by a car but he slowy cought up and then we would just stay close to each others doors with him by half a car in front (not no kill). SERs are not cars i would sleep on. they can ran some nice 14s unless they are turbo charged but most of them are running low 15s to mid 15s just with basics. i mean they are still POS compared to a DSM but turboed they can kick some ass too=). my point is he'll most likely give your car a good run if just a clutch is all you have and the rest is stock.

The newer SERs are POS=). the 91 SERS where prob one of the best years. they came i believe with bigger cams then the rest i believe (not sure). but there was something about the 91s that came bigger can't seem to remember. ohh well i tried ;)..

You need to give the SE-R's a little more credit. They really wake up to bolt-ons, my friend Jay ran mid 14's with the basic sh!t. If you race off a roll, you should be even or he might even pull you a little. From a stoplight you will have no problem if you can drive the car.
