I've been looking at people's trap speeds on here and the dsm.org timeslip page. Everyone seems to be going through the traps at much higher speeds than me. Why?? My best run was 13.70 at ONLY 102. Everyone i see in that 13.7-13.8 range is running minimum 104-106. My 0-60's are decent, in the 2.2x range. Am I losing some top end somewhere??? i can't imagine what time i would get running in the 104-106 range.

Here's a list of mods, maybe that will help.

16G
FMIC
Brode UIP
2.5" dp
3" hi flo cat
3" cat back system
K&N
ACT2600
NGK 7es plugs
short shifter
Hallman MBC @ 16psi

My tranny just went out, maybe something to do with slow shifts that's not making my speeds faster?? dunno

Just wondering if i'm doing something wrong or am missing a mod that might help me go a little quicker.

P.S. Front tires are junk 205/55 (not RS-A's though) and inflated to ~19psi, back ~45psi.

Maybe your a better driver? Usually a lower mph compared to someone else with the same ET means that either you got a better 60' or your shifting faster. You can have a ****ty launch and shift average and still have a high mph, but your ET would suffer.

However 102 is a somewhat low mph for a 16G equipped FWD. But you are running fairly low boost for the track though.

I had to run low boost due to stock fuel system. Since that 13.70, i've done the rewire mod and upgraded to a Walbro pump. I've pumped up the boost to 18psi, but our track is terrible. I also tried a different set of tires, dunlops. 0-60's are still consistent, but i was fighting wheel hop off the launch, and spin through 2nd gear. Plus, the tranny was on it's last leg before it let go. My best time I could muster was 13.86@101.

The car is getting the tranny rebuilt, and i've got some 225/55 green dot retreads ready to go for the track. Portwork is in order and i'm hoping to come close to flirting with 12's once it's done and I head to a different track.

I'll keep everyone posted.
