Hey thanks a lot for the info. Yeah my friend forgot to tell me not to tell the guys at tech that I'm 17.
Anything else you could inform me about Milan? Whats the deal with the waiting lines? Does the outside line empty first ( say in test and tune)?
You drive around the water box right?
And you launch from 4000-4500 rpms? without uncontrollable wheelspin?
Man some of those V8's are intimidating. Funny to watch them race civics though.

I was wondering how you guys like to stage...?
I dont really know that much about staging at the strip so if anyone wants to explain this to me I would be very happy.

I went to milan to run this weekend but it turns out if your under 18 you need a waiver signed by your parents. oh well, maybe next weekend, or next spring.

You told them you were under 18? *doh* Unless you look like you're 12, the tech guys from Milan probably would NEVER ask you for it. Anyway, back to your question:

I do a quick burn as the Nittos don't need a prostreet style burnout to get them warm. Then make sure the dataloggers running, close the moonroof, and get ready all the while I am inching my way to the lights. Once I'm ready, I prestage and then go to full stage. When the other guy stages I take the RPMs to 4200-4500 and wait for the tree. Its usually good practice to wait a bit if you're against some dude in a V8 who is doing a massive burn. If you're in an (most) event(s) however, once you've staged, the opponent has 30 secs. to stage or they get DQed. So learn how to go to full stage from the burn (or no burn in the case of AWD) in quick succession, its a mean tactic but, hey sometimes when you're racing against a Supra running huge slicks and posting low 11s, I take my pot shots when I can.

Lets see:

1. Don't tear ass around the grounds (e.g. over 35) or you'll get kicked out and black listed
2. Don't burn out in the lanes
3. Don't tell them you're under 18! :)
4. Don't piss off the guys running the lanes

Yeah, I generally don't wheelspin when I dump the clutch but it does shortly after as I apply throttle. :P Its a ton of fun when you line up against some V8 doing prostreet burns and destroy him. Its the best part of living in the land of V8s.
