not bad, i have run consecutive 13.81@98mph with an air filter and 16psi of boost..... those are the ONLY 2 mods on the car, no free mods, no exhaust, NOTHING else.

Lee, I thought running more than 15psi of boost in a stock 1G was very dangerous because any more and you will hit fuel cut. I have a 1G that is currently going under head gasket repairs because (from what I am told) I ran too lean. Is you 1G one of those freaks of nature from the factory, or does my fuel system have problems?

I had a 91 TSI AWD with a press-bent 2.5" cat back, hollowed cat and 18 psi. I went 12.9@102 with it :).

I have a '92 Eclipse GS Non-Turbo. All I did was take off the stock air box and put on a Sebring exhaust and I'm running 13.5@100.92 mph in the quarter mile. :p :p :p :p :p

Lee, 13.81@98mph with an air filter and 16 psi seems a little bit far stretched. You sure thats all that was done? It must have been really cold outside or something.

kwiktsi, 12.9@102? with just a 2.5 in catback? and 18psi, you've got to be kidding. You sure there wasn't anything else done? Cause i don't believe it.

You got a bigger turbo or something?

Hmm, I jst installed my boost controller to make use of an 18G and I set the hooker for 18psi, also installed an AFC at the same time, I recieved no fuel cut at 18psi, nor was I running super lean, just what I set it at.

With a 2G FWD, open K&N, free stuff, UIP, 1G BOV, muffler, rewired fuel pump, and a weight of 2950 lbs.....Do you think hitting the 13 sec. mark is feasable? Considering I'm an good enough driver and stock boost control spiking to 16psi and falling to 14.5-15psi???????

i think you need to get a full exhaust first(downpipe would be kewl too). and turn that boost up. 15psi on the t25 will barely get you a mid 14. turn it up to 20psi...you'll be fine. another problem is that your fwd. if you were awd then i'd say you could do it with 20psi but fwd i'm not sure about.

I think that would be almost impossible. You would need lot more weight loss or more power. 2G FWD don't have the traction to do 13's with stock turbos.

awdkitkat, dude, you should report that to summit racing cause their giving out $25000 to the first import racer that breaks 200! you gotta have a summit stiker on it when you do it though. and you gotta cut me in on some cause i told you about it.

No upgraded turbo or port work. The car's exact mods list was-
*2.5" Buschur press bent cat-back
*gutted stock cat
*flex removed from stock downpipe and replaced with straight pipe (experiment)
*Hacked air can with K&N
*MAS modded by me
*my MBC(Joe P. MBC)
*1.5" drop
*98 17" GSX wheels and tires
NOTHING ELSE!! I was just as shocked when I got my slip. I knew it was a strong running car, but I was expecting 13.3-13.4 at best. I was cutting high 1.6 - low 1.7 60' and was shifting the hell out of it.

Press bent is all you need if your goal is only mid-high 12's. That was all that car needed. I am running a full 3" with 3" tubular o2 on my current car, but my goals are MUCH faster than 12's :)..

I don't know you to know if you are being sarcastic or if your car is really that quick :). I am in the process of getting my new car together and if it goesanywhere in the 11's or 12's, I'll wrap it around a pole :).. I just need to get the shortblock finished and installed and bring it up to Pruven to get the Haltech and NOS dialed in together and we'll see how it goes :).

If the car was running that time with the pressbent cat-back I wonder what it would have done with a 3" mandrel bent system?

With the stock turbo, it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if any. My last AWD was running 11.9's@116-117 with spray, small 16G and a 2.5" mandrel turbo-back (along with other usual stuff- ported 95 manifold, ported o2, etc.). I think you need to be moving some serious air to really benifit from a 3" system.

I just realized after re-reading the original post.. What makes 12.9@102 so hard to accept at 19psi? The original poster went 101.2 with 16... Is it the 12.9 that is so unbelieveable? If you know how to drive 102mph will get you into the 12's in an AWD DSM (I have proven that).. Would you feel better if I mentioned my last AWD going only 13.1 when it was running 102 with the same mods, minus the tires and springs :) ? It is all in the launch and you have to shift like you don't care :).
