There are so many threads about the galant 4g64, but virtually no information on the mid 80's galant 2.4l which i believe is the g64b. I would really love to give my 89 galant (which is burning oil anyway) some get up and go, but cant seem to find the info i need to get started. what parts does one need for a 2.4dohc n/t swap? are they the same types of parts as the dohc 4g64 (with diff part #s obviously)? Thanks all

Check out the 4G64 swap thread on the Advanced Forum. I believe some 1G guys are using that motor for the 4G64 swap.

The G64B is basically a 1G 4G63t engine. As such, you may have to mix in some 1G parts (mainly timing belt parts I believe), but just about everything bolts up just like the 7-bolt version.
There are several places that have built the G64B and/or the Hyundai version (G4CS or whatever it's called), so it can be done.
