Sorry to ask this again...but here goes: Here in a couple days I'm going to be swapping the engine in my 92 talon NT because it's dead. Im going to be puttin the exact same kind of motor back in, I'm just wondering if there is anywhere here on the net I can get step by step instructions on how to do this because it's my first time. I changed the timing belt and all my other belts myself this summer using a VFAQ which helped quite a bit. I am somewhat mechanical and I feel I am capable of doing this but I just wanna know for sure and make sure I'm going about it the correct way. I am going to change the timing belt on this before I put it in my car and I'm going to be using my old accessories, (A/C, throttle body, exhaust manifold, water pump, alternator, etc...) any suggestions on any preventative maintenece I should do at this time? The motor has 50K on it that I'm putting in. My old motor has 130K on it as well as the accessories on it. I'm wanting to make sure that this motor doesnt break on me and I'm wanting it to be a good, strong running motor. Faster than the other one. Any suggestions ASIDE from adding a turbo or nitrous (EXHAUST??)? Please lemme know. Thanks a bunch!!

Ryan

You could always remove the balance shafts. Less belts, less chance of breakage. And it adds a little bit of power too. But some people would rather leave the balance shafts in, so I guess you'd have to decide that for yourself.
