Yesterday my reaction times were good and all but my launch overall sucked, i would spin my tires for like a second then shift into 2nd. i am basically stock except for the airflow mods, for a little extra boost. i started launching at about 3500rpm, then over the course of the night i was around 3000 rpm, but everytime after i dropped the clutch i would spin them like nutz, then i would just shift so i could actually move. i lowered my tired pressure on front to about 26 and i have stock rims with decent tires. the first time i was at the track i felt i wasnt slipping as much. does anyone know what is goin wrong? thanx!

Off topic question.. :D Heheh Turbomitsu, does HKS still make a FMIC for the 1G, or is your new HKS FMIC the one someone was selling on the parts trader?

I have a simple but expensive solution to your problem...sell your car and buy an AWD version ;)

Well I would say that you sure don't don't want to drop the clutch on a FWD. I myself have problems launching my near stock GST. I usually get major wheelspin around 5500 and it totally kills my times. The solution I believe is to let off the throttle around 4K so that you are at like 10 psi and then floor it again a little before shifting to 2nd. I haven't actually tried it, but it should work and get me into the 14's finally.
