Hey people I just ran my codes and it says I have a Catalytic Converter Efficiency Failure. What does this mean and does it affect anything but emmissions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I have a 95 RS 420A...Thanks in Advance

I've had the same code. I used it as an excuse to get a 2.5" high flow welded in. If your cat is bad, not only will it trip a code, it will affect your gas milage as well as your emissions. Just my .02

id definately have it checked out, man. i had a prelude at one time and it started acting funny. then it would have trouble getting past a certain speed. finally i was stuck going 20 one day and my engine was overheating. the carbon filter inside the cat had broken up and blocked the outlet pipe. i ended up going the cheap route and gutted it. id at least have it checked and if you have to get another one, get a high-flow cat cuz you wont lose as much backpressure as you would gutting it. NA's need the backpressure for low-end power. if you just care about high-end, though... GUT IT!
