Did any of you read the article in the new Sport Compact Car Mag on the bypass valve for the AIM cold air intake system! Sweet! I'm getting me one, I couldn't believe how they tried to screw up that NSX but couldn't. Anybody have one already, what kind of power increase did you get.

I have the bypass valve on my AEM CAI. It is not intented to give you "more air flow." It is intened to stop water from getting into the engine should your filter get submerged in water while driving. There are rubber flaps underneath the foam covering. When the air filter comes in contact with water is creates a vacum type effect in the intake piping. This causes the flaps to open sealing off the cold air part of the intake and air is now taken in through the bypass valve until the cone is able to suck air freely and the vacum effect is eliminated. It works too! I hit a 3" deep puddle and when I got home I checked it out. The bypass valve was suckin the air and the cone was just sitting there drying out. Next morning it was dry and working like it never got wet. In a sense if the cold air part of the intake gets wet it turns your CAI into a short ram. Really cool product.
Oh and yeah AEM says the bypass valve is versitle and will work with other cold air intakes. I assume it will work with a ICEMAN. Besides its only $40.
