I will go see it. Who cares what they say in the movies at least it is a movie with imports. After all it is a movie so they want to make money so they have to make something that appeals to most people. Who cares if it doesn't show what it really is like.
At least it will give all of you who have nothing better to do then complain about rice something to talk about and we can see another 100 threads on this site of people complaining to make thenselves feel like they are real racers if they complain about rice.

Yes I'm going to go see it for what it's worth- an action "hype" film.
It was ballsy releasing a sequel among this summer's killer lineup-so I might as well see it as I have just officially seen the WORST movie for 2003 tonight (Wrong turn)

The first movie made me consider selling my car.
Everywhere I went PPl who saw the movie would stare at the car. I had one guy threaten to car jack me.
I don't cruise or hang out in parking lots. I hate the looks of all the cars in the movie. Cant stand the bad acting.
I still have'nt seen the first one and don't particularly give an aviating coitus if I see the second one either.

Is the movie still rated PG-13?
I felt like I was back in high school when I went to see Bruce Almighty last week  and if 2F2F is going to be like my Junior year Chemistry class- then I'll go either for a matinee or the last showing at night- preferably a monday! hehe

I don't think this guy is beeing too dramatic at all. I drive an old 94 GS which I've had since new. Before that lame-ass movie came out, I almost NEVER got drag raced or challenged at stoplights. After it came out, for at least a year, I got it all the time. My car is a stock NT save for some nice Mille Miglia rims. To me it's basically an econobox that looks like a racecar. That dumb movie turned it into a target. Thanks, Vin. Thanks a lot!!!
I'm glad this new movie doesn't feature any 1G's/2G's. This time maybe the riceracers will leave me alone, just like the good 'ol days!

Not quite. The song is called "Furious" performed by Ja Rule (who also plays in the movie) and the lyrics are "Do it Fast, Do It Furious."
Anyway, I will see it. I look foward to seeing all of the Mitsubishis in the movie and even if they weren't a "title sponser" I would go. Supposedly John Singleton promises there won't be any technical snafus such as Motec Exhausts nad welds blowing on intakes. I can't wait to wade through the millions of threads pointing out why the movie sucked and what mistakes they made:rolleyes:
Still, Eva Mendes is a hottie, there will be an Evo as a hero car and that's good enough for me. Its not like I'm going in expecting some sort of oscar award winning production. A decent flick with imports is all I expect.
did you guys read the scc write up on it? the supra with a t88 turbo ran a 14.5 only. The evo ran a 15.3 or something. they were in bad shape, and they picked the best one out of the like 4 of each car.

LMAO!!!! Paul walker was on tonight show and they showed the clip of a race Paul in a skyline against a supra. Its starts out they were head and head and the supra hits it NAWWWZZ and takes off in the lead and hes all over the damn road swerving all over the place for some reason(when theres no traffic) then paul guns it(i guess he was only at like 1/2 throtle before  ) but then the some big bridge starts goin up and paul hits hes NAWWZZ and they show his 3 gauges he has mounted in his car and all 3 were the same gauge!?!?! they are all in the same postion and when he hits the NAWWWZZZZZZ they all skyrocket up. then they hit this freckin bridge with the supra in the lead and the freckin skyline pass's overtop the supra in mid air like over 50 feet high  !!!! and off couse when they land theres only a few sparks and they drive off.
Just thought i would say in a 15 sec. clip i found like 15 that are so stupid or screwed up.
All hell will break lose if this is #1 box office seller!!!!!!

hahahaha..thats the funiest thing I heard in along time!!*LMAO*
I wanna see that stuf...three similar gauges...meassuring the same thing...better be on the safe side ya know ;-)
I will for sure see the movie but I canot say I am as interested as I was when I saw the first one..it made my interest in DSM wake up even more but as time goes by and I learned more and more I cannot say its a good movie anymore.SUre its fun to watch cause of the nice cars you see there but its so many faults and errors that it more pisses me of now*LOL*
Well..just sharing thoughts..peace!!

I hope i'm not abusing the tread, if so sorry
I saw 2 fast 2 furious today, planning on going more as comedy. but it wasn't as bad as the first one or as i thaught it would be. The like the first 3 mins. were pretty sweat till the main race started and "flamerthrowers" came out. The racing secne was pretty gay but after that there wasn't hardly any more street racing and it had somewhat of a Plot this time. If you just ingnore a few gay things its accualy a pretty good movie. not as car "orinated" this time lot less car talk and had more of an idea through the hole movie.
mabey by the 4th one they will finaly have a really car good movie! and they are planning on makin 4

Well I saw the movie yesterday and dont wanna ruin it for the rest of you but it sucked!
It was so much worse than the first one. The story is a little better I guess but the racing is just disgusting. The cops are made to look like 12 year olds driving on 4 flats. Whenever they hit naws it reminded me of warp 9 on startreck. Lol and going reverse at what seemed to be 100mph...give me a f-ing break. When the EVO was on a straighaway they showed it to be half throttle on three occassions and then he mashes it...does he wanna loose? And the extremely exessive amount of exhaust flaming...correct me if I am wrong but the only way to do that is to run really rich (rich enough so unburned fuel reaches the tip) and have a live spark at that point.
Only thing I was surprised about though was about the Eclipse GTS. They were smart enough to at least put in some BOV sound effects. I watched Tyrese being interviewed on one of those late night shows and he said the car was slow...figures! It smoked a viper, C5, saleen, and M3 in the movie.

Yeah why bother actually building a car to make power when you can just do special effects and the majority of the views are'nt smart enough to know any better.

I actually enjoyed it. It was much better than the 1st one b/c they didn't actually talk about the cars that much. I can care less about the inconisitencies with the racing, it was still pretty decent. I liked Tyrese's acting... pretty comical. Overall: much better than I expected. :D

i've seen it twice now and i think its alot better than the 1st one, much more of a plot. alot of sweet looking cars, but thats not all the movie is about. there is even some sweet american cars for you people that like those too. we all know the cars are pretty slow in real life, but you must admit they look pretty sweet!

The ACD operates in open-state when the E-brake is used on the EVO VII allowing the car to rotate around corners better. A little algorithm added for rally driving. Makes that move a little bit more believable even though I'm sure they still used some movie magic.

i was unaware that the awd system was that much different.
cuase i tried that in my winter beater awd and ended up FWD:( and eventually needed to replace the transmission and rear diff.

Only in the J-spec or Euro-spec EVO's. The US-spec EVO's have basically the same drivetrain setup as an AWD DSM.
This page does a pretty good job of explaing the EVO ACD and AYC.
