Hey KnightRyder,
How can you have DC Headers if they only make them for Honda's and Acura's?

No problem, I was like whoa DC makes stuff for us now? Nice looking car though. Love the seats. How much were they?

i got a hella deal on the seats. i bought them from a guy that bought them and then didnt want them. he never even put them in his del sol. i paid 400 dollars for both seats and both 4-point harnesses. they would probably cost around $250 per seat, without the harness. i think the harnesses cost about $100 a piece. thanx for the compliment.

Sweet deal, I was going to get some Sparco race seats but there like 600 per seat. Too high for my blood. Going for some OBX reclinable blue race seats for like 250 each. Let me know if you come across a good deal like that for blue racing seats.=)

i know sparco makes a non reclinable seat called the forza 2, i almost bought some. they were only $220 a seat, but thats only if you dont want to recline. i think their web site is http://www.sparcoracing.com. they have all kinds of different seats there!!! good luck finding some reclinable ones cheap. they are hard to find.

by the way how much was the big brake kit, and are you happy with the performance? where did you get it?

DownAzzDSM

The brake kit for me was like $800 total. But they sell for like $1100. There a lot of different options for them too. I got the 13" kit, there are also 12.2" and 11.7" I think. They stop way better than stockers. The only flaw is the brake dust. Tons of it. The only place you can get them is TCE Performance. I'm not at home right now so I don't have there number. Todd which sold me the brakes is on dsmtalk sometimes. Let me know if you want his number.

very nice, have a suggestion though, you don't have to listen, but i think clearing out the blinkers in you head lights would just give it that extra little something being as how you have the bumper clears. just a suggestion though.

Hey dude, I know what you mean. He has probably tried that, as I have too, but I can't get the damn housing apart.

nice work man that thing looks tight. do you still have your back seat? I was thinking of pulling mine out when I do my interior. I plan to go with cfiber dash kit. yellow momo seat, black momo floor mats with yellow embroider and momo door sills. what do ya'll think? any suggestions on what to do to cover the area where the seat was removed?
peace

I pulled the back seat out when i installe the seats. The only thing i can suggest is to maybe carpet the back with the same color carpet as the factory. There is only a small space of metal that is exposed. I like your ideas for your ride. Go for it!!

eagleflyinlow
04-09-2001, 04:55 PM
so you just left the metal exposed? How big is the uncarpeted area? I might just relocate my amp rack and put it over that spot if it's not too big. otherewise I might see if I can get something custom made. did you keep your lift gate in when you pulled the back seat or does it just look dorky hanging there by it self?

KnightRyder
04-09-2001, 10:05 PM
the area is as wide as your car but it only goes back like a foot and a half. the custom made amp rack sounds like a good idea, i would go with that. definitely take out the lift gate. when you do it will show off your rear strut tower brace nicely, if you have one. if not i would recommend that you get one for the front and the rear, it helps out in cornering very well..

how much do strut bars run? where did you get yours? any pics of the interior? especially the back? thanks man. peace.

KnightRyder

my strut bars werent that expensive, but they arent a big name. they r OBX R, and i think the front and rear ones were a total of like 150 dollars. they work just fine though. i ordered them from nopi. you should be able to find them on the internet very easily. just look around a bit for some that are in your price range. sorry but i dont have any pics of the interior. good luck man with your car. when r u going to put some pics up so i can check out your ride?

I'll post pics after It gets outta the shop. I got hit by a early '90s silverado about a month ago and just finally got the dough for it. He took out but head lamps, the front bumper cover, and the pasenger side quarter panel. i'm getting projectors and the wings west bumper in urethane while replacing everthing else with stock and Im making about 300 bucks by doing it this way. I was pissed when I got hit but after I get my car back it'll be all good. later

Knight Rider-
Man I just checked out all your pics at photopoint and your car is pretty tight man, but that "R" sticker next to the "drive it like you stole it" one is a little to Hondaish for me. Do you ever race those Vdubs that are in some of the pics? Please tell me you whipped up on that lowered yellow civic. peace.

KnightRyder

the sticker you see is a tenzo r sticker. the only reason it is there is cuz it's what kind of intake i have. of course i can pull on the crx. the vw is a vr6 an gets me right now, but i'm about to get nitrous. when i get that,s all over!!!! they will be eating my dust

dude, i think if i can take out the housing, a half-brained monkey can do it :D. seriously though, the good thing about me is i got a lot of patience, and you need to in order to take out the housing. i've found that the easiest way is to start from the outer edge. heat it up for a while and gentrly start prying it open with a flat-head screwdriver, its a tedious task, but if you really want the clear look its def. possible.

nice car!

KnightRyder
