Hey guys. Well I got fed up with my AVC-R to a point, always giving me different boost in different gears. On top of that I need money, so I sold it, and got a Joe. P MBC.

I ordered it in about 30 seconds off of the very easy to navigate website. About 10 seconds later I got a confirmation of my order in the mail, and saying it would arrive 2-3 days in the mail.

2 days later the MBC, arrives as I expected, and everything included.

I decided to do my own modification before hand, and had a small knob welded onto the end of the screw so I didn't have to use the allen wrench evertime.

So I got it hooked up, and the boost is solid. It takes a while to setup, as once you get down to different boost setitngs the controller gets pretty sensitive. 1/8 turn is about 1 psi. I set it to 18 psi, and was off. The boost comes one fast, hits 18 psi and is very steady.

To tell you the truth I am very happy with it. The turbo spools a whole lot quicker than it did when I was running the Avc-R. Go figure. Anyway overall I am very happy, and suggest anyone that needs a nice solid boost controller, go order one.

Pete

I too am a happy customer.
I ordered the Joe P. MBC almost a year ago, and everything arrived quick and on time! Holds boost just like it says, rock steady.

I also installed a Joe P. about 5 months ago. My talon would not hold steady boost. It was either 10psi in 3rd wide open, or over 20psi. I could not adjust it to make the car boost steady. An RRE MBC also did the exact same thing. Other people have no problems but it didn't work for me. Also the adjustment is super sensitive, about 1/8 of a turn = 5psi.

I ended up with a JBC boost controller from DSS. It works perfect and the boost is easy to set. No 5psi jumps for 1/8 turn. I suppose I could have gotten a bad unit, or there may have been a problem with my car. I never checked the Joe P. out because Mike at DSS just lent me a JBC to try out to see if I liked it and I really did.

I was one of the original testers for the Joe P. I still have one of the original design (much larger units, different way to set boost too). Sucker still works great, never had a problem. I even had it holding boost at 10 psi at one point, right now I have it at 16. Nothing special, but currently I don't want to run higher than that on the street and I havent hit the track yet with the car. Great product, from a great guy. I recommend it to everyone.
