my mods are in my sig. Im just wondering, how much more will it the injectors help? i know im gonna be leaning them out, thus the ecu will advance timing, but will it be noticeable? how much power? also, how much will gas mileage be affected, if at all. btw, I SEARCHED for 550 injector reviews, but to no avail. thanks.:)

oh and btw, im going to be running 18lbs on the street on 93 octane.

also forgot to mention, i got a godzilla turbocharger, TD05H turbine wheel clipped 10 degrees, Garrett T04E-46 compressor wheel, soon to be ported 7cm turbine housing with a soon to be ported 2g manifold.

your about where I am at, I have bigger exhaust, you have a supra SMIC, I have a bigger fuelpump, and run more boost.

I am just getting 550's due to the fact that I run lean up top in 3rd and 4th gear. I get knock and retarded timing from this.

So I need more fuel. I have dialed the stock 450's up to 10% richer, and they are maxed out.

You are going to be in the same boat.

Bigger inj will give you more fuel to control lean out and detonation. More boost/revs =more power. But power NEEDS fuel. So bigger injectors will give you more fuel, then you can get more boost/revs and still run at a good a/f ratio, thereby giving yourself more power.

You have an safc so you can control your lower rpm settings and keep good mileage and drivability.

anyone else with some more input??

I gained a tenth and a half consistently and 2mph at the same 17psi I had with the 450s and at that 17psi the 450s were hitting 100% duty cycle so you will benefit by running your 550s at a more relaxed duty cycle.

NOMIEZVR4,

Seems to me that you could probably get by with 550s but would be better off with a 6XXCC injector. If you run 100% inj duty with 550s that already puts you at 82% inj duty with the 550s.

I figured the same and yeas I am running my 550s right about 78%-83% so even I am considering 650s.

If you're going to run 18psi on a 46-trim, then you NEED at least 550s. So "how much will they help" is kind of a moot point. I wouldn't even run 15psi on a 46-trim on 450s. If the engine has good breathing mods on it, 15psi on a small 16g can max out 450s.

dang...i didn't know i would be so close to maxing out my 550's at such low boost...

the reason i ask is becasue my cousin has an 18g equipped awd and he just got 550's, i thought he would go bigger, but ive heard that 550's would be enough. so, do you guys strongly recomend that I get 6xx's injectors??

Also, the 190 with a rewire wont be up to the task will it? thanks.

Nomie... 550s will work great with pump gas / 18 psi on that turbo.. and will leave you enough room to lean out when you run race gas. If you get 660s you might run out of adjustment on the AFC when you're on race gas. With 450s I wouldn't run past 13 psi without logging injector pulsewidth to see how much injector you have left.

As for the 190.. only real way to know is a fuel pressure gauge in-cockpit.. if the fuel pressure drops at high RPM, your pump isn't keeipng up.

cool..:D just added the logger to my sig.

550's are plenty for what you have. Remember that you actually will have lots of fuel and will need to control the fuel at the ecu, cause the ecu does not understand why you have such large injectors. Just watch your timing and egts on the dyno. Hope this helps, Andy

yep, the only thing left now for me to get is an egt guage. wait i also need agx shocks, drop, paint job, new rims, new cams, bm lsd insert..damn..need some money..

I'm using 550's with my 18g running 20psi, no problems with maxing out the injectors. I've seen this turbo and injectors run as much as 25psi.

It really depends on base fuel pressure, and the amount of volume the mass is seeing.

I would definantly say go 660's, the 550's and 580's seem like a good choice for somebody with a 16g or smaller turbo.
