Finally got my ATR exhaust put on yesterday. Installation took about 2 hours including the removal of the stock system. The fit was perfect, and it looks good. I noticed the car felt a little more peppy with it now too - definatly a performance gain! I like the sound, it's surprisingly quiet when cruising around town, but when you hammer it, it gets loud and dosn't sound ricey at all. My wife thinks it's too loud and my 3 year old son is scared of it, but I love it. Go figure. Over all, I give it an excellent review!

I have some pics here for your viewing pleasure.

First is the old and new comparo. The ATR muffler on the left, a the Dynomax Super Turbo with ricer tip on the right. Also shows the size difference between the stock "2.25 piping and the ATR "3.

Second is the ATR Downpipe / Cat Eliminator installed.

They were included in the kit, that's what holds the whole thing together. It made assembly very simple.

it looks nice but you said it only made a little diffrence. i would have expected to make a pretty big diffrence considering you have the downpipe too.
did you buy it used? and how much did it cost?

It made a noticable difference, I guess it would have been more obvious but I had installed a Dynomax muffler and a test pipe on the stock set up previously. As some of the pics showed. It's not much but it's still an upgrade over stock. I'd have to say going from the complete stock setup to the ATR "3, I probably would have noticed a larger difference. I got it from DSM Performance, BTW.

I have the ATR exhaust. It is not on my car yet, I don't have the time right now to put it on. How do the clamps go on, both ends of the pipe are the same diameter. What do I have to do to get the stuff to clamp up?

Is it me, or is there not a flex section on the downpipe? I heard that isn't neccessarily a good thing. Maybe it's just the picture.

The pipes will fit together, they are stretched on the ends that go together, it was a nice fit.

The pictures don't lie, there isn't a flex section. I was concerned about this too, but so far (knock on wood) it hasn't been a problem.

i have a atr exhaust system i have not install it yet but i was told that the exhaust system really get you the horsepower that you are looking for. i also noticed that some talons and eclipses are running atr exhausts. the only thing that i am waiting for is a downpipe for the system i bought it brand new over the internet i cant wait to hear how it sound. the clamps do look big though. talon forever!

when you installed the atr exhaust system did you noticed the horsepower that you gain over your previous exhaust system? do dsm performance also sell the downpipe for the atr exhaust system? thanks

The butt o meter gave a positive reading. ;) It did seem to move the torque around a little but I think it's because it's a full "3 turbo back and I still have the stock turbo. I am planning on getting a new 16G in the future so that's why I went with full "3. If I was going to keep the T-25, I'd have went with a "2.5 downpipe and a "3 catback. That seems to be the best combo for the T-25 from other users responses on here. Overall it should be a great improvement over the stock system. (remember I upgraded from a test pipe and Dynomax muffler - granted it's not much, but it's better flowing than stock)

DSM Performance sells the "3 ATR downpipes also. If you want a "2.5 downpipe, you'll have to have them make one for you as ATR dosn't make them in that size. (At least they didn't when I ordered mine)
