Well my new exhaust system has arrived from Extreme Motorsports and for the most part I am pretty happy with it. The welds all look very clean and the overall construction is very nice. The tip is a bit rice at 4" but is still fairly tastefull (I wish someone made a dual tip system). Only complaint are some unfinished cuts on the hanger rods that look like they were cut with a sawzall and have some very sharp edges on the that will have to be chamfered. And also the packaging was a bit shabby with everything just thrown in a box flying around in it. This caused a dent on the tip. Also the stepdown to the cat flange is included not welded up which isnt too much of a pain for me but for others without a welder it may be. I am just waiting for the 2 1/2" downpipe and will put it all on and let everyone know how it works.

Well I put it in yesterday and hmmm lets see where should I start. To begin with I had to spend some time chamfering all the hangers so that they wouldnt chew up the rubber mounts. Then I had to take a hammer and dolly (good thing I'm a bodyman) and beat the tip back into shape. Then I start looking at the neck down flange piece that connects to the cat and it sure didnt look like a 2 1/2" piece (I have a 2 1/2" test pipe and downpipe) so I measured it and sure enough it was only 2". Hmmm. So then while trying to bolt it up after cutting a 4 inch section of pipe off to fit the neck down and weld it I noticed that the flange on the neck down was welded at an angle relative to the exhaust pipe which ends up pointing the downpipe towards the driveshaft. I looked at the factory piece and this flange is not at any angle. So in order to get out of my work before they closed I was forced to tie a piece of coat hanger wire to pull it from the driveshaft in order to make it home. So what I will eventually have to do is cut the flange off and re weld it back on properly. This all seems like alot of work to be involved when putting in a "bolt on" system that costs 500 dollars. I would highly recomend putting the extra 50 bucks on the thermal at this point.

Thats not the first bad review I've heard on an Extreme exh. system. Some of these shops is like playing russing roulette. A few I've never had any trouble with is Road Race, Buschur and TRE.

Its the First one I have ever seen between here, my regional digest, the national digest, and the review site. I have read many bad things on the buschur system and thats why I got this one. The only good thing I can cay about it at this point is that is uses all the factory hangers and doesnt hang very low. I will be contacting them directly soon about these issues.
