So we are trying to get the tranny in. As you may know we bought this project in pieces. The shield that goes between the trans and motor doesn't line up with the starter holes on the trans. I'm thinking the guy we bought it from gave us the wrong shield?? Should we just trim to fit since its only a shield/spacer?
So i cut out the starter section and then turned some pins on the lathe that are used to locate the starter section of the plate. I then trimmed the plate to fit the big section. I didn't trim the bottom cut very well and had a bigger gap than i would have liked.
