Hi im wondering if its normal for these motors to tick untill there warm or if its my lifters going bad. And if i get new lifters is it still going to tick i dont wanna do it if it isnt going to sovle that annoying tick.
Ok thanks guys ill prolly do some new lifters i got some oil leakage on the side and front of the motor prolly valve cover gasket or maybe head idk either way couple birds with one stone.
You don't have to remove cams as shown in this thread. I just replaced my lifters without removing cams. Just get a screwdriver and pry the rockers off the lifters that the cam isnt sitting on. Once you get all those turn the cam gears over with a 17mm wrench to get the lobes off the rockers.
