So I have my 16g turbo hooked up directly to my J-pipe. What kind of boost levels should I be expecting on average?
I already ported my flapper and o2 housing, I'm not running a MBC right now because all I want to run is stock boost since I dont have any of the supporting mods yet..
as of this after noon I am only seeing a max of 10psi? is this normal for stock? I thought stock was 12-14psi??
Without a mbc or any type of tuner, I wouldn't go past 15psi (max boost on stock Ecu).

I dont want to go past what stock boost, my question is, without a MBC and the wastegate hooked up stright to the J-pipe, should I be boosting at 15psi or 10psi?
I too am interested in this info... Im running a 16G with a FMIC only, and hooked straight into my j-pipe ans im getting less psi.(8psi) and no leaks anywhere
If neither of you guys have a BC or a tuner, you shouldn't be going over 10 pounds, without a way to see or manage your fuel intake. do you even have a WB to see if your running rich or lean?
On that note, a wisemen should help you alittle more than I can

I've hot a regular A/F guage directly wired into my ECU wire and at idle im running lean/optimal, normal driving im optimal to right at the rich line and under boost im pegged at rich. Im sure im supposed to be rich when my foot is nailed to the floor. I also have no tune that I know of but I did buy this car from someone who left it sitting for 4 years with no battery. The weird thing is that I was boosting at 12psi with my stock side mount but when I put on my FMIC, it dropped to 8psi.
Something that came to mind. I don't know if it will bolt right up, though I would think it would. Why not use your wastegate actuator off of your 14b? This should limit you to 8-11lbs.

dsmnoob00: I would read that link and see if that helps you.
wicked96rs: is it a narrowband or a wideband?
As for the both of you, I would do a boost leak test at about 30-40psi to verify that you don't have leaks.
Can a better knowledged dsmer make sure the info I'm giving them is right

Narrowban cause Its not digital, its mechanical. on another note... the screw on top of my BOV was very loose so I tightened it up some ans Im now boosting at 10-11psi. not sure what happened to the nut that secured it in place but Maybe I fixed my low boost issue
