Re: What connector is this?
For the '98+ (possibly '97?) 4G63 vehicles:
Pin 1 - Red, for EVAP emission ventilation solenoid, power
Pin 2 - Blue w/ red, for EVAP emission ventilation solenoid, to ECU pin 55
Pin 3 - Don't find it anywhere so I assume none
Pins 4, 5, and 6 are for the fuel tank differential pressure sensor.
Pin 4 - Green w/ yellow
Pin 5 - Blue w/ white, to ECU pin 61
Pin 6 - Black, ground
The other site provided some good information. I pulled out the ohm meter and verified the connector beneath the fuel pump cover. The harness in question connects to the EVAP emission ventilation solenoid and fuel tank differential pressure sensor.
Now things get interesting.
I'm running a 98 ECU in a 98 chassis with a 95 harness and 95 fuel tank. I no longer have the 97+ emissions stuff on the fuel tank. I'm thinking I should be able to get by without doing much to the harness I have, but I'll suspect that the 98 ECU won't see these two pieces hooked up and throw a code.
Is there any easy way around this? I may be able to disable these in ECUFlash, but haven't dove into it that far yet. My tune was done on a dyno and I haven't learned as much as I should have.
