How to retard timing when shifting with AEM EMS

Does anyone know how to set up the AEM EMS to retard timing during shifts? Is is possible to do so without having the AEM control the shifting itself? I can see that Kiggly has set us car up to do it, but I think he has the AEM controlling shifts too. I'm hoping there is a way to reduce timing when the motor is dropping rpms. Is there a way to do that?
