Fuel pump-to-rail upgrade help

To start, I have a 95 Eagle Talon TSi, basically stock, had some mild head work done, and an aftermarket header. The fuel pump quit on me recently and during the removal, I kinked the feed line coming out of the sending unit. So the wheels started spinning in my head, and I am really wanting to just upgrade the whole system while its apart. I dont have the means to do a lot of fabrication, so my thoughts were to get the Full Blown double Walboro 255 set-up, and also upgrade the fuel line since mine is all rusty and sketchy. I just want to make sure that with the correct fuel pressure regulator set-up, my car will be driveable until I can save my money up for the next set of upgrades to help compliment my beefed up fuel system. Thanks for your help guys, this is my first post on this forum

Re: Fuel pump-to-rail upgrade help

Welcome to the board. The first thing you should do is sort out the known problems to get a solid running car, then do mods and upgrades. After maintenence items, I'd suggest first to decide your horsepower goal. Then to keep it simple and replace what you need to, and focus on how to upgrade those items.

+1000

But to answer your question, Yes. While pretty extreme and way overkill on an otherwise stock car. With a fuel pressure regulator set at the correct pressure your car will still drive like stock.

Aeromotive and fuel lab are popular choices for our dsms

Re: Fuel pump-to-rail upgrade help

Thanks for the confirmation on that guys! I know its overkill, and ideally I would just like to put a stock sending unit, so I can just bolt up and go... I suppose I will search for one a couple more days, but I'm getting antsy to drive the car again! Anybody on here have a 2g sending unit taking up space on their workbench?
