97 eclipse gsx starting issue

i had a friend replace my transmission (which i found out the replacement was bad too) but ever since i got the transmission in. the motor wont start i turned the crank with a wrench to make sure that the motor wasn't ceased. when i start the car all it does is click from the starter. I can hear the starter click on the flywheel buy doesn't spin the flywheel to start the car. the clutch works fine, so its not that and the starter relay seems fine as well. i just replaced the starter so its not that and i just replaced the battery. it wont crank over and only clicks. i need to know whats wrong. the clutch switch is fine as well

May seem like a stupid question, but did you put the starter plate back in?

If so, its possible you have a bad connection to the starter's Main Power wire.
Also check your battery terminals.

found out autozone sold me a bad starter. then come to find out the entire transmission is blown and not even rebuildable
