I would like to run water injection on my car and I have little money to work with. I have seen tutorials for a few different homemade systems, but I'm concerned that the water won't be "atomized" enough through some cheap water sprayer nozzle and the pump won't be able to keep up without costing a whole lot of money. Would it be worth doing a simple homemade system, or should I save my money and go with the aquamist 1 or 2?
If you have any good websites for a homemade system, please post them.

I built a alcohol injection system about 3 weeks ago, cost was $45 Canadian. If you want i can email you a list and the basic setup.

Lightbulb Injection systems

I'm interested as well, but if we're a community of DSMers here, let's not just email it to selected receivers, post your ideas here, I'd love to see some different configurations. Besides, if it were me, I wouldn't want to have to email the same thing to 10 different people. Share the wealth!!

Here you go guys, not trying to keep it form anybody just didn't know if there was aynone interested or not. O.K here's what i got for you guys. The injector i used was off a 1984 240sx
startup injector, takes a phillips screwdriver and a pare of side cuts. You
can use one off a Sabb (82-86) but they spray straight down and is about 1"
as opposed to the 240 which sprays to one side and is 2". Take as much of
the wire as you can it helps. The pump is off a 87 Acura it's located
infront of the drivers side rear wheel. It has a pressure reg on the top
take it off and trash it then you have a high flow pump with straight
fitting's in and out. Used a rad overflow tank off a 85 Prelude it holds
approx 2 lt's, and a dual prong oil pressure switch from Napa rated for 10
psi. And depending on where you put everything you'll need 3-4 feet of 5/16
gas line and some wire and 30amp relay. What i did was weld a flang for the
injector and a nut for the pressure switch to the upper I/C pipe about 6"
before the throttle body, you'll have to make something up but it was really
easy. Now to wire it i ran constant power to the pump and injector and ran
the relay off the pressure switch to trigger the ground, which should put
less load on everything. Now for mounting everything is mounted where the
pollution canister and cruise contorol used to be. If you still have this
stuff maybe the driverside wheelwell or if you have a FMIC where the stock
IC went. If any of this sounds like mumbo/jumo just mail me again, i don't
mind don't worry. Oh and all the ground leads off the pressure switch, pump
and injector are hooked to led's which are going to be mounted on my a
piller when i get another chance to work on it it again. Hope this helps.

( My EGT's are 1550, 50 deg lower than without, and O2's are at .94 WOT third gear, .04 higher
than without)
