SO i justify can you buy a GST or GSX with near 300hp for 4k??
I pay 60/Mo full coverage through State Farm with 0 deductable.
and I could build 400hp for 4k, If you're going to go through the trouble of an engine swap in an RS in this comparison then I'm going to buy an AWD with a blown motor.
>1k for the car, 3k in mods. I've already done it, went 12.4@111 on first pass 5 years ago with just a 50 trim, clutch, 550's, supra intercooler, 2.5" exhaust - made just over 400whp.
Buddy of mine went 11.3@130 on the same turbo+injectors with stock sidemount and just a cutout on the stock exhaust (DanL) Same guy has run 12.4@122 on just a 14b and his new motor.
I have 4k in parts on my new motor setup (minus nitrous) and have put down 602whp (without nitrous) so far.
Would much rather have a 05 motor than a old beat on 2g motor.
The 20k I have to spend will be EVERYTHING on the car replaced not one oem stock part. No rust nothing. The car will look new Drive new. not even have a OEM speedo just to compensate for the motors mileage.
Never plan on selling it anyway the car is payed off.
Wont be spraying nitrous either.
Will not have any OEM parts on the Evo engine.
Tranny is being built.
Head work is being done.
I gurantee when my swap is done. I will eat your gsx alive running E85.

You do realize I'm building a 9s car right....And you also realize my motor is not beat on it is brand new, and you also realize the entire suspension is new which also within a year or 2 will include a solid rear axle with a 4 link and probably has less rust than your car does. My suggestion is Bring cash, I don't take checks.
Do they sell E85 in PA? If not you might have to drive out here. We have over 300 E85 stations in Illinois. Back to the topic. Evo 8 Swap for RS and GS eclipse 2g.
I'm not building an E85 car, if you're going to limit me to the type of fuel I'm "allowed" to run then I'll limit you to the type of tires you're "allowed" to run.
That's so funny, he doesn't even have the Evo motor in his "RS" and he's already talking shit about GSX's. This is the reason I hate 420a's. People that have them, seem to be 10x more arrogant than any GSX owner I've met. As far as the 1G comment, I'm a girl, and I personally love the "all business" look of a 1G, more than I do a 2G. I also know many many of my friends who agree with me.
Also, yeah I like EVO's, but these "high horsepower" Evo's you claim to be running around, are stuck at 8.9's. It's sad when you see them making over 1,000 HP, and barely out of the nines.
Also, your not going to last very long the more you continue to bash on senior members. All in all, the "evo motor in my RS eclipse yo!!" will just be a bragging option. No one is going to take you serious. Especially if your spending 4-5k to just get into the 12's.

The only Arrogant people about this swap is mainly some GSX owners like yourself. NT owners act the way they do since the Turbo owners only down them and dont accept them as DSM owners. ALL THOUGH DSM is Diamond Star Motors. Which a 420a fits into that catagory more than a 4g63 since the 420A is a Chrysler engine. I dont think anyone should bash on anyone for which chasis they drive. It is all about choice and availability. Also what you would like to do with your car. My personaly taste I do not like the 1g body or 3g or 4g body. I hate body kits and spoilers. I hate neons and systems. It is all about personal taste on what the owner would like to do with their car. I even hate gauges throughout the car. Whynot just do a flushmount touch screen with all of your statistic readings on that for a cleaner look!!
I never bashed either chasis, or bashed another member. All I did was take a challange as soon as the swap is completed to see how the E85 evo 8 swap will standup to a built GSX. Which is why I want to video tape it Also for reference on which is a better build. But in my opinion I would rather have a built E85 AWD lightweight gutted RS pushing 400-500 whp than a GSX. I hate power windows, I hate sunroofs, I hate spoilers, I hate cruise control I like my car SIMPLE!. I dont like AC or Heat. Enough Said Iam not gonna argue with you GSX or GST owners about the swap. Iam just Proving a point that the 4g63 swap is very simple with the Evo motor. Your choice to gain the knowledge. I dont care if you dont enjoy the information or love it. If I keep getting arrogant messages I will end the swap information and just keep it to myself!

OWNED! Hah. You get a tree for that one Kurt.
I will agree, it's a nice swap, but it's really not practical. OP, you're making DSM's out to be rust buckets that have been beat to all hell. I will agree, a good majority have been beaten on but not every one. And most people build their motor to where it's new, so that argument isn't valid.
