Rear Brake Question

Hey everyone, I drive a 97 RS and it came stock with rear drum brakes. I know all other eclipses have 4 wheel discs and I wanted to know exactly what parts i'd need to make the conversion. Part #'s and cost would be really helpful.

Also anyone know or think of any issues id have with the swap? I believe it shouldnt be so difficult seeing as how the GS, GST, and GSX all have disc brakes.

Does the GS come with rear discs?? I thought only the GST/GSX got the rear discs...

I've got an RS also and I've been wondering if a rear-disc conversion is possible for awhile now. Although I've heard that rear drums work fine for our particular cars (they say you want stronger braking in the front than the rear)..but...I still want to convert so I can get some nice big AEM rotors back there. :)

I have a 97 Eclise RS. I did the conversion from Rear Drums to Rear Discs. Basically, you will need rotors, calipers, hubs, and brake lines. Goto http://www.2gnt.com. Look at the modification section. There is a write up on how to do the conversion. (Just MAKE SURE you use a 10mm Flare Wrench for the brake lines.) http://www.allmitsubishi.com sells the conversion kit for $250. Of course these parts aren't new, they are junk yard parts. I noticed an incredible difference. The car stops much better and the brake doesn't feel spongy. Besides, the discs look MUCH better than the drums. (Painting the calipers didn't hurt)
