Konig rims: Good? Bad?

Anyone have any experience with them, they're wheels are light and cheap, but are they junk? I was debating on getting their daylites, or runaways, but i figure id ask before I throw $500+ away. Thanks alot.

Re: Konig rims: Good? Bad?

I had two sets of them. I wouldn't necessarily consider them light by any means but I never had a problem with them. Typical affordable wheel choice. My first set were 19" Konig Theory wheels, not too bad but a PITA to clean and get tires for. Next set were 18" Konig Trouble wheels. I liked them but had the wrong offset so I sold them. I'd say they are worth it for the money but there are soooo many wheels to choose from on the market. Post up what you like about the wheels and I am sure someone could find a few brands of the same caliber.

Hi, well listen, I can tell you for a fact that the lightweight wheels are light for a cast wheel. Some wheels will be lighter then others.

I can actually help you get weights on the wheels if you tell me the size and style you like.

Its up to you, I can tell you for a fact that the smaller lightweight wheels are strong and light.

Re: Konig rims: Good? Bad?

I had a set of "troubles" that came on one of the many DSMx I have owned. Way to blingy for my taste and heavy as hell. To sum it up...they were sold 3 days after I bought the car and tossed on a nice set of slips.

Re: Konig rims: Good? Bad?

So I decided to buy these instead, and probably paint or powdercoat them black, thank you all for your input.

Re: Konig rims: Good? Bad?

Konig has been around for a long time making relatively cheap wheels. I have owned a few sets over the years and never had any problems with any of them. Only ever damaged one and that was after hitting a very severe pot hole.

I am with the guy above that said they are not that light though. They have a few that are lightish but their line overall is not.

Bought these for my hatch many years ago. Never had any problems. I thought they looked good. Awfully heavy, but I love them

Konig, rota, the generic pepboys wheels. They're all the same company. My Konigs have Rota stamped on the inside.

If I could do my wheels over again I'd go with Rota. Rota G Force's=awesome.
