Merging two pocketlogger cables

ok i have two pocket logger cables. one has harness to plug right into the diagnostic port but where it is plugged into the palm is broken. i have another cable that just has wires and some clips that clip to the pins in the diagnostic port. i want to splice the harness onto my second table. ok straight to the point. cable one in question has yellow, grey/blackstripe,green.cable two has red,black,white,green.i know the black wire on cable 2 was for grounding. so what cables do i splice to which?

This seems potentially difficult and dangerous.

I'm not sure, you'd need a schematic as to which wire carries data and what not.

Does anyone you know have a good cable you can barrow? With a good cable and a volt/ohm meter you could find out witch wire went where easily. If I get time I'll figure mine out tommorow. It might take maybe a half hour at most. I'll do my best with a wiring diagram for it.
