Converting DSM to Speed Density

Will the stock DSM PCMs run pure speed density mode?

Also, has anyone on here used MegaSquirt?

Re: Converting DSM to Speed Density

No, the ecu is setup to use a Karman Vortex style MAS metering system.

You want speed density....look for a VPC.

Re: Converting DSM to Speed Density

The VPC is sorta out dated and hard to fine.

Another option is to look into the MAFT Pro which is a speed density setup using a GM 3 to 5 bar MAP sensor and IAT sensor. You can find more into at www.maftpro.com and www.fullthrottletech.com

I personally run the MAFT Pro with the GM MAP and IAT sensor combo using a Innovate LC-1/XD-1 wideband O2 setup for WOT AFR tracking. So far I like it.

Or... You can wait for DSMLink to fully support MAP/GM MAF in there next reversion.

That or drop $1200 to $1500 on an AEM EMS
