My car is a 96 eagle talon awd auto. I got this car for cheap because of the motor was blown. I got a motor/turbo out of a manual car but but my automatic trans on. Think the manual motor will make me faster?
NO! They are the same motor either way for 2g's. For 1g's they are still the same motors but the autos use smaller injectors.
in a 1g the auto's also have a smaller turbo (13g) and less agressive cams. so if you are working with a 1g than yeah it is possible to be faster going about the correct way, also if it is a 1g, don't forget to switch the injector resistor pack.

He states 96 awd Talon so it is a 2g. Thanks though for adding more about the 1g differences.
