My right turn signal blinks faster than my left. Why?

Hey guys, i just recently noticed that when ever i turn on my right turn signal it will blink really fast. But, when i turn on my left turn signal it will blink normally. Why is this happening and what can i do to fix the right turn signal? Thanks

Either
A. Broken bulb, or fuse.

Is it your front blinker, rear, or both?

Sounds like you have a blown bulb to me. Check all you turn signal bulbs front and rear.

Re: My right turn signal blinks faster than my left. Why?

This happened to my brothers car when we put the wrong lightbulb in...there two types...one has a double pole, one has a single...if you mix them up that could be it.

I'd check all your tails and parking lights, I bet a bulb is incorrect.

Re: My right turn signal blinks faster than my left. Why?

Whats weird though is sometime the blinker will blink normally but MOST of the time it will blink very fast. I know for a fact that the front turn signal blinks fast but i do not know if the rear one does. Is it really that necessary to check ALL of the bulbs or just the right side? Thanks for your guys help

Sometimes its just the fact that the bulb was put in wrong. Flip the bulb around and see if that fixes the problem. But i'm betting on a blown bulb.

hmm, i'm thinking it could be your flasher relay also...i don't even know where they are on these cars but i'm guessing near the fusebox, usually a round relay.

Re: My right turn signal blinks faster than my left. Why?

Probably a bad bulb or a diffrent kind of bulb. There are resistors built in that make it blink faster when there is a resistance diffrence in the front and rear bulb. It is to let you know a bulb is out but it doesnt know the diffrence in a blown bulb and a lower resistance bulb ( LED bulbs will make it blink faster if they arent used front and rear) . Mine blink fast because of that but I wanted it that way.

Re: My right turn signal blinks faster than my left. Why?

It might not be the bulb, mine had the same problem, would blink fast sometimes, normal other times. Turns out the wiring to the light was loose. If you turn on your blinker and wiggle the wiring and the light changes speed, then thats your problem.

sounds to me like your blinker light fluid is a little low.

You can get bulbs almost anywhere. Wal-Mart, Dealerships, gas stations, auto part stores. They really shouldn't be that difficult to find.
